Andreas has acquired a wide range of experiences during his 10-year investment banking career with Laiki Investments in Cyprus and HSBC Investment Bank in London, UK. He had been involved in some of the most important Stock Exchange Listings and Mergers & Acquisitions in Cyprus, as well as in major privatization projects in South East Europe.


In 1998, while serving as Head of the Investment Banking Division at Laiki Investments, he was seconded for two years to the Corporate Finance & Advisory Division (CFAD) of HSBC Investment Bank plc. in London, UK. The purpose of his secondment was to gain experiences in privatizations. Andreas was placed in HSBC's team that was dealing with privatizations in the Balkan and Mediterranean regions. He became directly involved in privatization projects in various sectors, namely telecoms, energy & banking.


Moreover, he attended HSBC's specialized training programs on privatizations, Mergers & Acquisitions, company valuation, financial modeling and convertibles.


For the last 14 years, through his own private equity & corporate finance advisory firm, he has been advising corporate clients and institutional investors towards diversifying their investment portfolios. He maintains an extensive network of associates in the Middle East, Russia & China. 
Andreas today serves as the CEO of an Electronic Money Institution (EMI), regulated by the Central Bank of Cyprus.

Christina Christoforou works at the National Betting Authority for more than 2 years and is responsible for the Business Development and Social Responsibility Unit. She has worked on the Authority’s Action Plan on Responsible Gaming and other projects relating to the connections between responsible gaming stakeholders. She holds a BSc degree on Business Administration and Finance from the University of Cyprus and a MSc on Global Business and Sustainability from Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Christina Christoforou

Christina has over 25 years’ experience in the betting, and gambling industry. Starting out in the pre-dotcom era, she has a career spanning land, internet and mobile, covering all aspects of gaming operations, holding senior roles with some of the world’s best known brands (including William Hill and Virgin) responsible for managing multiple business disciplines, functions and teams across a range of channels, products and customers, including regulatory compliance and money laundering.

Christiana advices on data protection, information security and e-commerce law issues. David Schollenberger is the Director, Policy and Compliance for the Cyprus Gaming and Casino Supervision Commission in Limassol, Cyprus since September, 2018. He is responsible for advising the Commission on compliance and regulation matters and drafting appropriate policies, procedures, standards and directions. Prior to the engagement with the Commission, David was a private practice solicitor in London specialising in gaming and betting and acting for governments, multinational  gaming operators and suppliers. Cyprus.  During her term at NBA, she has worked with all stakeholders in the Cypriot betting
industry and has manage to apply rigorous enforcement and monitoring measures.
Ms. Fiakkou represents the National Betting Authority to various gambling conferences and

Marina Yiannikouri is a UK university graduate in Communications with Sociology (1992 – 1995) and a postgraduate in Television and Video Production (1995 – 1996). Dr. Michael Auer holds a PhD in Psychology from Nottingham Trent University and a Master’s degree in statistics from the University of Vienna. He is a regular speaker at gambling conferences, collaborates with recognized scientists in the field, and has published numerous peer-reviewed papers on player tracking and Responsible Gaming. Nick is the CEO of the Cyprus Gaming and Casino Supervision Commission, in Limassol, Cyprus with overall responsibility of setting up and managing the duties, responsibilities and operations of the regulator of casino gaming in the Republic of Cyprus, reporting to the Commission Board of Members.

Previously, Nick was many years with the UK Gambling Commission,  managing the Commission’s  focus is upon corporate leadership of the Commission with strategic focus upon licensing, compliance, intelligence and enforcement. He had specific responsibility for the Commission’s focus upon sports betting integrity issues and in developing with UK government, the national approach to address the risk of the manipulation of sports competitions which is based upon aligning the intelligence and investigation work of the Commission, sports betting operators and associations, sports governing bodies and national and international law enforcement agencies.

 Nick works extensively within the international context. He is a Member of GREF, a trustee of the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR), was a UK delegate in the negotiation of the Council of Europe Convention on the Manipulation of Sports Competitions, is Chair of the Council of Europe (EPAS) network of Regulators, a member of EU Expert Groups and works with the International Olympic Committee in developing the legacy of the 2012 London Games sports betting integrity strategy and with UEFA.

 Before joining the Gambling Commission in 2007 Nick was an Assistant Chief of Police with extensive experience territorial policing, serious and organised crime and criminal intelligence matters. He was the UK director for National Ballistics Intelligence Programme, chair of the UK Firearms Intelligence Committee, vice chair of the UK Firearms Strategy Group and UK Director of the Police National Database programme.
